  • Safe rig set up procedures and SOP – Oil and gas rig concept.
  • Inspection of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions on the rig.
  • Risk assessment.
  • Hazards and effects management process (HEMP).
  • Fundamentals of working at height safety, confined space entry, hot work, safe handling of chemicals).
  • Basic fire prevention – firefighting and rescue.
  • Introduction to Emergency action plan and emergency drills.
  • Good housekeeping
  • Understanding safe crane operations and rigging on the rig.
  • Rescue and survival techniques – Introduction to offshore first aid and CPR.
  • Man Over Board (MOB) procedure.
  • Understanding responsibilities placed on offshore installation manager (OIM) and team members in health and safety.

This course is for individuals that intend to work on oil and gas rigs or individuals already working on an oil and gas rig.
