As an employer, the health and safety of your worker(s) is a legal duty you are obligated to fulfill. Health is more than the physical well-being of a person, it includes mental and social well-being. Most times a person with poor mental health may not realise it and even if they do, they might be hesitant to seek help or simply don't know where or who to get help from.
Additionally, organisations may attract worker's compensation claims or unpleasant incidents due to failing to respond correctly to workers with mental health crises costing the organisation precious time and other resources.
This course is the Standard mental first aid course which means that the topics in this will be covering mental health in adults exclusively.
