UNIT IG1: Management of occupational health and safety. This unit is broken into the following topics:

- How occupational health and safety management systems work and what do they look like. The PDCA Cycle: Plan, do, check, and act.
- Managing risk - understanding people and processes.
- Health and safety monitoring and measuring.
UNIT IG2: Risk Assessment. This unit focuses on occupational health and safety practical applications. It is broken into the following hazards and risk control topics:
- Physical and psychological health.
- Musculoskeletal health.
- Chemical and biological agents.
- General workplace issues.
- Work equipment.
- Fire safety.
- Electrical safety.
